Hi

Bruising swelling along with intense pain after trauma could be suggestive of a ligament or a bony injury .
You can watch over the area for one to two days .
Take some oral anti inflammatory agents like ibuprofen or paracetamol twice daily .
In case the discomfort persists even with treatment, then you might have to see a local doctor.
