Hello and welcome to HCM,

Bruise on the head due to trauma is caused by hematoma formation.
Hematoma is formed by collection of blood under the skin due to trauma.
Hematoma usually resolves by itself.
The hematoma reduces in size and changes in color and thus resolves.
You can take painkiller for the pain.
In case the swelling and pain does not resolve within 7-10 days, you can consult your primary healthcare provider.

Thanks and take care
