Suggest Treatment For Bruise On The Earlobe

Hi ... I just noticed my 7 year old son has bruising on his outer earlobe. When asked about it, he said he fell while running in P.E. A week ago. He says it doesn t bother him or hurt. But the bruising looks significant. Should I have him be seen by his pediatrician or is there any permanent damage that could have happened?

hello,
welcome to HCM.
dont worry.if it is a simple bruise..it is painless and will fade within 14 days..
sometimes a trauma in pinna may cause hematoma..that is a very painful condition...but you should consult your paediatrician.to rule out any damage to middle or inner ear structure occured or not.because that will cause conductive hearing loss.
hope this is helpful.
regards.
