Suggest Treatment For Brownish Vaginal Discharge

I am 57 yrs. old and am in the midst of menopause. I started bio-identical therapy 2 yrs. ago. I have it done by pellet insertion which is supposed to last about 4 1/2- 5 months after each insertion. I didn t take my progesterone regularly due to cost, after 3 1/2 months each time. My last insertion was 6 months ago. A couple of weeks ago I had cramps and brownish spotting with odor and vaginal discharge after fairly intense exercise but not too strenuous. The spotting stopped after a day or two but I still have discharge and odor several days later. Is this symptomatic of cancer, polyps, ?

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
This spotting you had could be due to irregular intake of bioidentical hormonal therapy, cervical erosion, polyp or cancer.
I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined internally, get a pap smear done and get appropriate treatment timely.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
