Suggest Treatment For Brown Discharge After Intercourse

i had sex with my boyfriend about 3 weeks ago, then i had what seemed like a very light period and then a few days later i got a period but the blood was a very dark brown. I have been on the pill for 2 months now and this would be the end of this 2nd cycle of pills. whats going on?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

This could be two things, either this was just a simple sode effect of the pill you were on as this can happen quite often as it is a common side effect (i.e. intermenstrual bleeding).

The other possibility is a less likely one, but still possible. The pill you are on is responsible for preventing conception and it may have done just that either by the prevention of implantation or any other step of the process of conception, resulting in the bleed.
