Suggest Treatment For Bronchitis And Respiratory Tract Infection

Good Morning Dr. Sree Bhushan Raju,

I am 24yrs married female, a nephrotic patient since Aug 2006. I am on 5mg predinsolone alternate days. I had undergone renal biopsy in Sept 2007 as this case repeated because my dose was tapered. 4 months back I had got respiratory tract infection i.e (spitting blood with saliva only in morning as soon I wake up) I had done an xray in which it was diagonised I had acute bronchitis. I took tablets and sinecod syrup it was cured. Then I had got urine infection I took tab and got rid of it. Again recently I got respiratory tract infection doctor suggested me avalox I took it for 1week I gt it cleared again in morning I can find traces of blood. 2days back I got urine infection again….

Dr. Please tell me why is this problems repeating again and again. Is it something that the medicines are rejected by my body due to nephritic syndrome? What should be done further? Please suggest me ways to keep my health fine…

Hello

This is because given the fact that you are under steroids treatment for a long time you are immunocompromised and very weak to bacterial infection.

Regards
