Suggest Treatment For Bronchitis And Cough

I was diagnosed with bronchitis two weeks ago. I have been coughing now for an entire three weeks. I have seen two different doctors. The first gave me a zpack and cough medicine. I took it all. Still have the cough. Only now, it hurts so very bad to cough at all. It is even sore to the touch almost as if my lungs are bruised (directly under my breasts). I went to see a second doctor. She took x-rays said I was fine, prescribes an inhaler, said it would have to run its course. The pain is just worsening. It is very painful to cough. I have mucous and phlegm that gets stuck but I no longer have the strength to get it up or down, not to mention that it s too painful. What can I do? Please help.
