Suggest Treatment For Breathing Problems

Hi I have discomfort in breathing fully.I can breathe, but only with discomfort. I feel that its just my left lung which makes it difficult to breathe. It happens only sporadically throughout the day. No other symptoms. Could it be A1AD? and what are foods rich in A1A?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

No, it is not due to Alpha 1 antitrypsin (A1A) deficiency. A1A deficiency causes bronchiectasis in the lungs. And it will cause chronic cough, expectoration, and breathlessness, not sporadic. So in my opinion, you should definitely consult a pulmonologist, and get done a chest x-ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).

All these reports are required to rule out lung diseases. If all these are normal, then no need to worry about lung diseases. Sometimes stress and anxiety can also cause sporadic breathing difficulty. So avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
