Suggest Treatment For Bowel Obstruction

18 months ago I had a bowel obstruction with subsequent removal of 7 cm of gangrenous small bowel, due to adhesions from 40 years ago. I am 70 years of age, female and I've noticed a steady weight gain in the past month, going from 150 lbs to 159, as of today. I stay away from sugary drinks, no sugar in anything, eat sparsely, many times forgetting to eat at the regular time. I always have a breakfast, either oatmeal or a poached egg on toast. Fruits and veg are always eaten. Water is on hand all the time. I live in the tropics and work outdoors a lot. This is very frustrating and maybe you have an answer for me. Thanking you, Patricia

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Your concern and query is appreciated, if your are putting on weight then it may not be due to surgery you had gone thorough but it seems to be due to genetic constitution that might not be reflected in early stage of life but it could be due age, other causes are there that also be the reason of weight gain like anxiety, depression, high calorie diet, lack of exercise, medicines if ever going on.
Reduce the high calorie diet, do regular exercise be stress free.
hope this information helps.
