Hi, i have two boils on my neck and one on the side of my chest. I recently got into poison oak as well. I have never had boils before and they are very painful. I am not even sure they are boils, I would even go as far tomsay they feel like I was bitten by something.
I can understand your concern for boils on neck and chest area. After analysis of your query I can make a possibility of insect bite hypersensitivity. In such kind of cases we find painful eruptions over the affected area of the skin with irritation. I suggest my patients to apply a cream containing mild steroid with antibiotic such as mupirocin or gentamycin in it. An anti-inflammatory tablet such as paracetamol or diclofenac or ibuprofen can be taken for earliest relief. Do not try to rub or pinch or pop the area as can cause further aggravation. All the best.
