Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
recently I have had a few boils break out on my buttocks. At same time mouth is very dry and corners are cracked now for 3 months. My bowels have slowed down, to the point I wasn't going in almost 10 days and never had the urge to go. Trip to ER resulted in a cat scan that said I was full of poop. Found out a week later I was now showing signs of diabetes. Went to doctors because I had one boil and by the time I left her office I had 2. Now I feel like a couple are starting on my labia majora and I feel one on the back of my neck starting also. They start off as small itchy stinging pimples that grow fast, fill with puss and when soaked in hot water they eventually pop. Never had any experience like this before. My mouth is so dry that today my tongue actually burns and my lips feel a little swollen.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM The first treatment of your condition will be to have your blood glucose under control. With high blood glucose, control of the infection will be very difficult.I will suggest you try the following: -See an Endocrinologist for anti-diabetics -See Nutritionist for a dietary management -Drink enough water -Your Doctor may prescribe a penicillin group of antibiotics like cloxacillin for your boils after incising and draining pus if collected. -You may also take a pain/antiinflammatory drug like ibuprofen Hope this will help Best regards
