Suggest Treatment For Body Pain And Fever

Hi, I am 8 weeks pregnant and feel extremely sick. I have 101F fever, muscle aches, joint aches, gum aches, headache, eye ache, and pretty bad chest and throat pain. I wanted to know whether I need to see an obstetricianist or a primary care physician? Thanks.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
You are 8 weeks pregnant & have fever with bad body ache.
From your description suggests viral fever, which should be relieved within 5 days. & till then Paracetamol , rest, light nourishing food , cold compresses to control high grade fever is usually given-
* Due to the pregnancy ( Where high grade fever needs to be controlled earliest) / your throat pain you need to consult your treating Obstratitian /physician. They may add antibiotics/ hormonal support for fetus
as per need.
Thanks.
