Suggest Treatment For Bloodshot Eyes And Sore Neck

My 5 year old has had a temp of over 102 for 5 days, he has bloodshot eyes, and a sore neck. He has been tot he Dr s twice. They say its a sinus infection, and pink eye. But now it appears that he has a big blood spot in his left eye. He was up crying that the back of his head by his neck was bothering him. Any advice?

Hi...by what you quote I feel that he could be having a viral illness or an atypical infection. Will tell you how a viral illness behaves so that you can be more assured -

Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.
