Suggest Treatment For Blood In Urine

My husband was in hospital last week with pulmonary embolism. He is home now and last Sunday he started having a lot of blood in his urine. He is getting shots of Warfarin and on Coumadin now. He is seeing urologist tomorrow, but I worry and want to know what that might be.

Hi
warfarin is actually a blood thinner medication. It also prevents further clots formation(clot in the blood stuck in a blood vessel in the lungs in the case of pulmonary embolism) .
Very important to adjust the dose of warfarin with a regular check of INR test.

Thinning of the blood more than what is required may cause oozing , or bleeding from the smaller blood vessels , for examople , from gums, gastrointestinal or urinary tract (bladder etc )
