Suggest Treatment For Blood In Urine And High WBC
hi dr. ive just been told that i have blood in the urine and too many white blood cells present in my water samples,all that the hospital have given me is codiene phospate 30mg and omeprazole 20mg,im in a lot of pain due to this ,it started last sunday morning ,im in a lot of pain and my stomach is enlarged ,my normal gp is refering me for a scan but i have to wait and find out when it is .can you tell me what they are looking for ,i know it is a water infection but i havnt recieved any antibiotics .

Your findings and symptoms suggests urinary tract infection(UTI).
UTI is indicated by presence of excessive pus cells and blood in urine.
You need clinical correlation and investigations like routine hemogram,renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen.
Nitrite test and Leukocyte esterase test can be done for confirmation of UTI.
Proper antibiotics should be prescribed after culture and sensitivity report.
You should drink plenty of fluids.
