Suggest Treatment For Blood In Stool

My adult cat has, for the last month, blood in his stool....looks like red jello....I have an appt. with the vet tomorrow....what do you think it is? No other symptoms, eats well, drinks well, plays with the other cat...coughs up hairballs once in awhile......

Blood in stool is indicate infection in stomach or intestine.

Gastritis or peptic ulcer may cause bleeding in stomach and pain at abdominal region.
Proton pump inhibitor like omeprazol is use in this condition.
Stool examination test is helpful for diagnosis.

Intestinal infection may cause blood in stool.
Intestinal poly may cause bleeding.
Colonoscopy is helpful for further diagnosis.
