Suggest Treatment For Blood Blister On Left Eyelid
Out of the blue I noticed today that I have a bloodblistery looking patch on my left eyelid. It does not hurt but it looks like I am wearing dark crimson eyeshadow on 1/2 of my eyelid. Can you tell me what this might be a symptom of? I was raking outside today but other than than had a quiet day. There was no blow to my eye or other mishap. Thank you.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Treatment for a blood blister on the eyelid typically includes keeping the area clean and protected. You can apply a cold compress to the site to reduce swelling and pain. Over-the-counter pain medication can also be taken to relieve discomfort.
If the blister is large or causing significant pain or vision problems, it is best to consult an ophthalmologist or dermatologist for further treatment. They may recommend a topical antibiotic or lancing the blister to relieve pressure and promote healing. Avoid picking or scratching the blister to prevent infection and further damage to the area.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
