Suggest Treatment For Blepharitis In The Eyes

I have blepharitis in the eyes. I am nervous to take Doxycycline. I have tried baby shampoo mixed with water. It kind of burns. It was suggested to me to buy a 100 mg pill, cut iy in half. Take half of the pill in the morning and the other half at night. I realize these pills are coated. What do you suggest?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
In Blepheritis there is infection in root of eye lashes producing small eruptions at the base of eye lashes.
Clean the eyes with cold water.
Apply antibiotic eye ointment over the eye lashes and gently rub.
Apply daily 2-3 times a day for few days.
Treat the problem in the scalp like dandruff, yeast infection or bacterial infection if you have.
Ok and take care.
