Suggest Treatment For Bleeding From The Lower Lip

I woke up to blood pouring from my lower lip. The only injury I can find is a small pin prick on the outside of my lower lip it has bled for 15 mins nonstop now. I was sleeping on the sofa face up, so I know I didn t pierce it on anything. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

Hi, thanks for using Healthcare Magic.

The symptoms you experience may be caused by an infection or because of an allergic reaction to an allergen. But to make sure it requires direct examination. If due to infection, then the wound should be immediately cleaned with sterile and in the right way. If not done properly it can lead to recurrent infections and wound healing can be inhibited. We recommend that you consult a doctor for further examination and also appropriate treatment.
