Suggest Treatment For Black Moles On Thigh

I am 46 yo white female, 5'3", 120 lbs. 2-3 months ago I noticed a small (pencil point) black mole on my upper thigh. I made an appointment with my dermatologist since it was much darker than any other mole I have. It felt as if it were slightly raised, an got slightly more so over a few days. I very lightly scratched my finger nail over it and it came off! I thought this very odd, but since it did not leave a mark at all nor did I feel it, I cancelled my appointment. Today I noticed another a bit lower on my thigh while in the shower. I scratched over this one to see what would happen and it didn't budge. I scratched harder and then squeezed it between two fingernails until the black spot came off. this time, there the the most minute (less than pinpoint) bit of blood and it left a tiny (again, pencil point) red dot. What are these and should I make another appointment with my dermatologist?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi there.
I note your detailed history & clinical description with interest.
Yes I think you should make another appointment with your dermatologist.
Alternatively you could put up a clear digital photograph of the troublesome areas & the removed lesions up here on this HCM site & should you desire discretion, please use the private portal.
From what you describe, they appear to be either 'seborrheic keratoses' lesions or viral 'warts'.
In both instances, removal is best & desist from squeezing & home remedies as it will lead to secondary infection & other complications.
Good Luck & please do visit the Dermatologist.
Godspeed & wish you a clear skin soon.
