Suggest Treatment For Belching And Flatulence

Hi, I have an ejection factor (Hida) showed of 20% and some sludge-no gallstones (sludge not in bile duct) and have right side upper pain. My lipase and amylase levels have been slightly elevated for a year. Had four opinions. Two from my Gastr. doctor and his surgeon both said take it out asap. Two other doctors outside their practice believe I can wait and not rush to take it out and do a food diary and maybe take dyspepsia medicine because I have symptons of belching, gas and burping. Hi,

I got your chief complaint. This is most likely due to inflammation of gallbladder as your history suggests.

Dietary modification can help and it will further reduce the formation of stones in future as well. The dietary modification can be: take fiber-based diet, reduce consumption of fatty foods and meat-based products, take plenty of liquids and fruits in diet, reduce consumption of oils in diet and try omega 3 fatty acid-based oils. This will help to relieve from gas, belching and burping.

However, to go for a surgery needs case study and report details and further investigations. Overall there us nothing to worry if gall bladder is removed as there is no much health impact of its removal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
