Suggest Treatment For Basal Cell Carcinoma On The Side Of Nose

I was recently diagnosed with basel carcinoma of a lesion on the side of my nose. I recently have went to two different doctors and am still confused. One doctor says Mohs surgery with stiches. The other dr was a plastic surgeon who said he does no Mohns but a form of it. Also a skin graft because of the scar it will leave. However the skin graft is not guaranteed because It may fail. What can I do to find a doctor who has had experience dealing with left over scars from Mohs surgery or a form of Mohns

First of all, it is not important whether the doctor does MOh's surgery or wide excision. What is important is that the margins of excision should be free of tumor microscopically. As far as the reconstruction part is concerned, skin graft is not a good option since it leaves a bad cosmetic outcome even if it does not fail. A flap from the surrounding area is always a better option as there are a number of local flaps available for facial defects. So get hold of a cancer surgeon who also has a plastic surgeon in his team
