Suggest Treatment For Bad Vaginal Odor

I have a IUD and have had it in for about 4 &1/2 years so its almost time for it to come out but my husband has recently told me that I have a weird odor down there. I can t really smell anything but he swears there is something different. I was wondering if it could be because its close to time for the IUD to come out.

hi welcome to health care magic.
I understand your concern.as per your history you told you have IUD inserted ,it's good to have one as a contraceptive advice.IUD should be examined in periodic way, vaginal discharge can be because of long standing IUD .but this may not be only reason for discharge ,you might be having vaginal infection which is leading to this discharge.youcan use local vaginal tablets for 3 days in night and one antibiotic course of ofloxacin ornidazole 1 bdfor 3 days.I would advice you should get your self examination by a nearest gynaecologist who will do per sperculum examination and pap smear examination too.I hope I am able to solve your problem.
