Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you do not have fever then infection in the body is less likely.Your problem could be due to cervical spondylosis which could be caused to weak muscles or overuse, incorrect posture. You can use cervical brace for support. Also analgesics help alleviate pain.Put warm compress for relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
