I have been taking Tizanidine as a muscle relaxer for back pain and also take 5mg of prednisone daily. Tonight I am experiencing an episode of A-Fib and I ve read that The combination of these two drugs cab cause. I also take adult aspirin and Metoprolol ER daily for the A-Fib. How do I stop the A-Fib?
* Immediately stop use of Tizanidine, discuss scope of any alternative with your treating doc.
* Wait for a period of 24 hours since last dose of Tizanidine to get heart rate settled on its own If persist beyond that period, need an EKG with cardiologist opinion for the same to start anti arrhythmetic medication or else.
