I m a 16 year old girl and I have bad asthma and I can t seem to get it under control, I get wheezy, tight chest and pain in my chest and all medications my doctor gives me don t seem to work very well. I always have to take ventolyn. And when I go see my doctor she always says she can t hear anything but there s defi something wrong because I am always having issues with it. Do you have any ideas of what it could be or what I should do?

Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic, Thanks for writing to us,

I am Dr.Ahmad Bilal, I have read your question, I understand your concern and will try to help you in the best possible way.

I am sorry to know whats happening,
Actually sound of tightened airways is quite easy to be heard with a stethoscope,

If your doctor says there is nothing she can hear there is a big chance that she is right about it.

Now we come to other causes,

There might be some issue with your upper respiratory tract,

If your lungs are allergic to something may be your upper respiratory tract for example nose etc are allergic too,

or may be there is a nasal septum issue, which is causing you difficulty in breathing,

I would suggest you to see your doctor and get a checkup of your upper respiratory tract done.

Plus there is always an option to change your meds,

So I would also suggest you to contact your pulmonologist and discuss about the other medical options which might well be helpful for you.

Do take your meds regularly and use a good mask to protect allergy causing material going into your body.

This will help

....

I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask,I will be pleased to alleviate your concerns.Wish you the best of health.

Regards,

Dr.Ahmad Bilal.
