General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
If you are feeling shortness of breath and with the known case of asthma and COPD,then you should start with Inhaler(MDI or Rotacap) bronchodilators (steroids, alpha agonists, anticholinergics),antiallergics(antihistamines, mast cell stabilizers) with maintenance oral steroids and nebulizers with supplimental oxygen for asthma and COPD.
As you are currently treated for URI then you must take full course of antibiotics(quinolones or macrolides group) with other symptomatic treatment as per your symptoms.
Kindly consult pulmonologist for further help.
Regards,
