Suggest Treatment For Arthritis

Hi! I was wondering if there were conventional treatments for arthritisbeen to one in the midfoot besides cortisone injections. I've been to one ortho surgeon and his proposal is to fuse the talis bone to the heel bone. Thanks for your input ahead of time! Chris F.

Hi
Coventional treatment could be contrast bath (alternate hot and cold fomentation),partial weight bearing with a walking stick ,anti-inflammatory medicines, local infilteration with cortisone, silicone in-sole.If it is very painful still then x ray and MRI for assessment and, of-course fusion surgery for advanced arthritic changes
