Suggest Treatment For Arthritis Pain

I had fusion c456 in 1996. Now it s 2012 and there is so much arthritis there with narrowing I m in constant pain. The X-rays and MRI confirm. Should I see a neuro or osteo surgeon. Can surgery be able to repair? Im 59 female, no smoker and weight 125lbs.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Fusion is done anteriorly mostly and narrowing develops in the post column. I suggest you get MRI of Cervical Spine and consult orthopedic surgeon. Surgery, if required, should be able to help you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
Orthopaedic Surgeon
