Hi,

Treatment may depend upon the aetiology and type of arrhythmia.

Possible causes for rapid heart rate due to the ectopic heartbeat or atrial flutter or fibrillation or anaemia or electrolyte imbalance or panic attacks hypertension etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. avoid caffeinated drinks check for blood pressure, ECG, echocardiogram, haemoglobin status, electrolyte level then consult your Cardiologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
