Suggest Treatment For Arm Pain After Playing Baseball

My son plays baseball and he pitches and plays at second base and short stop. he throws with his right hand he started experiencing some pain in that arm last season. He has tried using a tens unit that I purchased from Walmart, but it doesn t seem to be helping. Do you think he should see an Orthopaedic or maybe just try some physical therapy?

Hello,

It may be due to minor contusion or tendon involvement following the incident. As the first line of management, you can try analgesics like acetaminophen or diclofenac for pain relief.

Apply ice packs also, if pain persists better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
