Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

I think, you have depersonization. In that case, you should try antidepressant like fluoxetine or paroxetine. It would help you to come out of such situation. If you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks

Psychiatrist Dr. Seikhoo Bishnoi's  Response
Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic

You developed symptoms like paranoid ideation and severe anxiety with obsessive symptom about 1 year back after taking marihuana. Most likely it was acute psychosis which was precipitated by taking drug. Then you stopped to take drug.
Usually marihuana or cannabis don't cause physical dependence and individuals can quit the drug without significant withdrawal symptoms. In some residual anxiety symptoms persist and continue to affect mind. This is one reason of anxiety.
You have also stopped taking alcohol about 2 weeks back and passed acute withdrawal syndrome. Now you are having intense anxiety. Alcohol is a brain depressant and long term withdrawal symptoms are seen after stopping the use. This is probably the main reason of anxiety you are having.

I would advise you to consult a Psychiatrist for that. Medicines especially benzodiazepines like lorazepam, clonazepam are used in alcohol withdrawal to decrease anxiety. The medicines should be taken for short periods and then to be tapered gradually.

Drugs as acamprosate, baclofen are used to decrease craving and anxiety.

Consult a psychiatrist for opinion.

Thanks
