Suggest Treatment For Ankle Sprain

I stepped wrong leaving my house around 6:30 pm yesterday and twisted my right ankle. I heard a snap/pop sound. The pain hurt up to my knee for about 20 minutes. The pain stayed and still is in my ankle, making it hurt to barely walk. There are also 1-2 new knots on my ankle compared to my left one. What needs to be done? Doctor? Home remedies?

Hi ,
As twisting of ankle with swelling n pain may also have some fracture inside rather than soft tissue injury which requires to be diagnosed through proper examination n investigation including X-Ray.
So in my opinion visit a orthopaedic clinic for its proper management .Till then take analgesic ( NSAID ) ,Muscle relaxant , PPI, Trypsine -chymotripsine , cold compression, limb immobilization( pop slab) n elevation .

Hope This ll help.

Thanks n regards
