Suggest Treatment For Anemia In Children

hi i recentley had my 7 years old sons lymph node checkd on neck and he said do you kbow he has anemia? i didnt but there special doctor i see didnt say what i should do and my son is very tired at times an his eyes hurt when tired? please could you advise many thanks

Hi.... I understand your concern. Anaemia is a very simple problem, but at the same time, if it is only isolated anaemia the most common reason is Iron deficiency.

As a physician has recently checked your son and told that it is only an isolated anaemia and he is also symptomatic - like easy fatigability, I suggest you use iron supplements at 3 mg per kg per day in 1 of 2 divided doses. But this is a prescription drug and this is the reason why I am unable to give you a prescription here. I suggest that you get back to your son's pediatrician regarding this. He will be requiring iron supplements for 3 months consistently.
