Suggest Treatment For Anal Fistula

I have been diagnosed with Crohns disease and I have had this for 40 years. I have retired 2 doctors already. My new doctor wants to put be on maintenance medicine. I say why? The only symptom that I currently have is an anal fistula for the past 5 years which is not draining but it has not healed. It is too close to the rectal muscle. I have had if filled twice, once a plug and then another filler but it did not close up. I make sure it is checked every 6 months. My symptom are hardly none at all except for this fistula. What are your thoughts for a maintenance drug therapy? This is the best I have felt in years. I am also taking welchol because 2 sections of my large bowel was removed. This is for bowel control.

anal fistula is best treated by excision surgery for permanent cure.medicines may give temporary relief, but probably the surgeon who has examined you may be best knowing the current extent of fistula
my advise would be to have sitz bath- sitting in warm water filled tub after toilet for 15 minutes, take antiibiotics to prevent infection, avoid constipating foods, meats and spices
