Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr. Rogala, i m an 82 year old male, who, while toweling off from a shower tore my scrotum, resulting in a relatively heavy bleed (blood drips on the floor). Application of slight pressure terminated the bleeding to a slight seepage. A gauze bandage and skivvies show a slight staining. Treatment? Thank you.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Blood vessels could have teared during the incident. That is why you got heavy bleeding. It is better to get an examination by urologist or at least GP. When you applied pressure clotting could've happened. You can apply Betadine ointment locally. Keep a gauze to support and cover scrotum before putting underwear. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
