General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your son of 2.5 years and understood the concerns.
Noted that he is in hospital and has the problems of no appetite, diarrhea got admitted and treated, no vomiting but approximately two loose motion a day continues.
Your doubt of amoebiasis needs to be confirmed by stool tests for three consecutive days.
Once diagnosed whether due to bacterial infection or viral or due to intolerance. the treatment becomes easy and composed of an antibiotic active against colonic pathology, Metronidazole, probiotics, fluid and electrolyte replacement under Pediatrician's supervision.
Do not try something at home, you need a proper prescription.
