Suggest Treatment For Alopecia Areata
Hii doc..two days ago when I went to barber for hair cut he noticed bald patch over scalp..size approximate 1*1 cm may be..same patch I noticed over lower how site also.so its alopecia aerata..what ti do now?? I have no drug allergy No family history of auto immune disease No itching over lesion..

Hi,
One of the most common reasons would be a fungal infection of the scalp.
It may not be related to alopecia areata.
If it is a fungal infection (tinea capitis), then you need to use an oral antifungal agent.
Using a topical cream on its own would not be enough to treat a scalp fungal infection.
