Suggest Treatment For Acute Bronchitis

My husband saw a Dr on Wed and they told him he had acute bronchitis, he was given a steroid and an antibiotic which he has been taking as directed however he is not showing any improvement. He is either feverish or he is cool to the touch and sweating a lot. Not sure what we should do so that he can get better any recommendations?

thanks for your question
i completely understand your question
in my opinion your husband should continue with the treatment.
in case if your husband was a smoker previously he needs some inhaled medications like fluticasone and formoterol ( inhaler) .
you can disscuss this with your physician
further workup which needs to be done is a chest xray and spirometry to know the stage of bronchitis once stable , and then he can be prescribed the medications
acute bronchitis with lower resp tract infection will need utmost care if there is breathlessness and yellow expectoration, then he ll be needing a hospital care
thanks
feel free to ask more questions
may god bless your family with good health
