Suggest Treatment For Acid Re Flux Pain

Acid reflex pain extreme pain I went into the hospital last night complaining of extreme acid reflex like pain all around 360 degrees of my upper stomach especially and most painfully in the solar plexus region which felt like a burning ball of raw meat. The doctor first checked all my vitals and did an EKG , everything was fine except for my blood pressure which was around 177 over 80. Next he made a mixture of pink antacid and a drug which numbed my tongue , throat and most likely stomach. However after two hours it was still extremely painfull and I projectile vomited 5 times in the toilet. I had previously do this 10 minutes before entering the hospital in the parking lot. It appeared to me I had an extreme case of acid reflect and perhaps food poisoning . The meal I marl 4 hours before was loaded with cream cheese , yellow and white cheese and taco dip, along with orange juice and vodka. He next tries an ultra sound to check of gallbladder problems, it was 2 in the morning and no texhnicians where there so he had to do it himself. He mentioned that he is not very good at reading it but will try. He thought he saw a gallbladder stone, so he put me on morphine each hour until 9 am in the morning. The pain went away altogether and I was able to sleep all night except hourly when they checked me and gave me more morphine. I went into the CT area and the lady tech asked me to drop my pants for the scan which took 10 to fifteen minutes. I asked her after it was done why she was checking my pelvic, area when the pain was way up by my solar plexus. She said she was told I had kidney stones. I said no the doctor said perhaps gall stones. She said it was alright as she could see both areas. However my body did not go that far into the machine, only 6 or seven inches of,travel in my pelvic area. Also she did not give me any thing to swallow, which I understand you need to provide a,proper contrast. Four hours later the next doctor feels it is extreme acid reflex, until the nurse That was in charge mentions the CT scan tech found gall stones. He rechecks my blood and comes t the conclusion it is in fact a gall stone attack which inflamed my inner gal bladder and should consider an operation to remove it. Well I am totally lost, none of this makes any sense to me please explain what I should do next. James Stewart Email YYYY@YYYY Nova Scotia Canada Please help.

Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hello. Thanks for putting your query in HCM. If CT scan is suggestive of inflammed gallbladder then the treatment is removal of gall bladder. However I will suggest you to visit a gastroenterologist who will examine you and may also advise endoscopy to see whether this is due to reflux or due to inflammed gallbladder. I hope I have answered your query and rgis will help you. Wish you a good health.
