Suggest Treatment For Accidental Consumption Of Lysol Liquid

my 80yr old husband who has Alzheimer s accidentally drank some Lysol liquid that I had put in a spray bottle I called 911 & they connected me to poison people &theysaid to get him to drink fluid, eat crushed ice. Is ther anything else to do? His throat burns bad?

NO don't make him drink any fluid other than water , yes you can give him Crushed Ice . Even better is if you have Antacid give it to him .

Lysol contains Acid which when consumed can cause Burn injury to the Throat , Food Pipe and / or Stomach. Due to this injury he should not be given anything by mouth till the extent of injury is established .

Once you take him to doctor get an Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy scan and if that shows no burn injury he can start having food . But till then don't give anything by mouth ( except for now antacid )
