Suggest Treatment For Abscess On The Teeth

I have an ongoing abscess and am getting my teeth removed for false teeth upper and bottom on June 28th 2017. Not just one but 2 abscess. One has been there a very long time w no pain the other just acted up recently and I was put on Penicillan and it went down and am pain free from that. I had 2 teeth pulled in preparation for false teeth but need to be sedated for the rest. I have noticed that my one ear sounds and feels like there is fluid sometimes moving in there. Now my other ear feels like there is water in there, like when you swim and get it in there. Also that same ear is not hearing as well either. I am congested in the nose. When I stay still for a longer period of time today I had a hard time moving my neck after doing paperwork, especially looking up at the ceiling. Was wondering if the 2 could do be related t one another or if. Shou,d see my family doctor.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

If you have an abscess in tooth and in case if it is in the upper jaw then it can at times cause infection in the sinus causing fluid accumulation in the sinuses that can inturn cause nasal congestion..

Also fluid in the sinuses can even cause post nasal drip which can cause ear infection and fluid causing clogged ears and hearing loss..

Also stiffness in neck can be due to swollen lymph nodes or stiff muscles..

So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation of the sinuses and the ear can help in ruling out the exact cause.

As of now you can take decongestant nasal sprays like Xylometazoline and do steam inhalation..
Use a cool mist humidifier in your room..

Also the abscessed teeth should be removed and a course of antibiotics should be initiated..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
