Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Watery Diarrhea
Hello, I have no other health conditions, I m 45 and for the past 3 days I ve experienced some abdominal pains that flow down from the top of my abdomen down, as well as watery diarrhea. This morning I had a solid bowel movement but as the day has progressed I m back to just the watery diarrhea. The cramps are gone. Thank you for reading this and your advice:) Sarah
Advice 1. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg every 12 hours orally for 5 days 2. Metronidazole 400 mg every 8 hours orally after meal for 5 days 3. Dicyclomine 20 mg every 8 hours per oral for pain 4. Albendazole 400 mg empty stomach in the morning – one dose only 5. Electral powder – dissolve in 1 liter of water and drink frequently. You can use other over the counter oral rehydration solution (ORS) 6. Eat small, frequent meals to allow the stomach to digest foods gradually 7. Drink 4 – 5 liters of water daily to avoid dehydration 8. Investigation – R/E of stool 9. Visit hospital if improvement does not occur with above measures Thanks
