Hello,

Clay color stools mean lack bile acids may cause indigestion.

The common causes are:
1. Obstructive Jaundice (gallstones/hepatitis/cholestasis drugs/cholecystitis)
2. Ampullary malignancy
3. Ca head of pancreas
4. Hepatitis et cetera

Please avoid spicy food and alcohol, avoid non vegetarian and salty diet. If symptoms not improved, please consult your gastroenterologist, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
