Suggest Treatment For A Thyroid Nodule
Hello Sir ,
My Father has a thyroid nodule and had undergone some tests for that .
I am sahring his reports . Pls suggest which doctor should we consult ( Can you pls suggest a doctor in Delhi) . Are there any follow up tests required .
1. Non homogenous patchy tracer uptake seen in B/L nodes of thyroid
2. Coldnodule seen in B/L lobes of thyroid
3. Increased tracer uptake seen by the slivary glands
4. No retro sternal extension seen
5. Thyroid uptake 0.2% 9normal 0.4- 4.0%)

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Your father has thyroid nodule and your report suggest it is cold nodule.
So he needs to search the cause of thyroid nodule. It can be some benign colloid nodule or papillary carcinoma or some other cause.
He should go for fine needle aspiration cytology of that nodule. It will give you exact idea whether it should be removed or not. Then you should take treatment accordingly. You can consult any ENT surgeon in AIIMS hospital Delhi.
