I had a needle procedure done on my nose to get rid of spider veins. One area was large an produced a scab. I didn t pick the scab but, if feel off prematurely and now I have a small open wound . I have read to let it dry up with use of hydrogen peroxide and I have read that I should keep it moist with neosporen. I don t want a scar .. What do I do
Since you have developed a scab over the nose, keep the affected area clean and dry. Wash with lukewarm saline water twice daily and apply a topical antibiotic cream like mupirocin over the affected area twice daily. You might need a course of oral antibiotics if the infection tends to persist or increase.
