Suggest Treatment For A Raised Bump On The Neck.

I have a single RAISED bump on the back of my neck. It has a small black dot on top. It is a little red around it. It was a little itchy at first, but not anymore. I have actually had this 3 or 4 times before the last few months and it eventually goes away.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that a recurring raised bump at the back of neck that has a small dot at the top with redness around it and that was initially itchy can be due to causes like Hair Follicle Infection or Folliculitis, ingrown hair,boil, infected gland in the area,sebaceous cyst etc..

I would suggest you to start apply antibiotic ointment over it like Triple Antibiotic Ointment.
You should do cool compresses over it..
Avoid repeated touching or scratching it as there can be spread of infection with it..

In case if there is no improvement or it keeps recurring consult Dermatologist or a General Physician and get evaluated and he can do a clinical examination and also do a microscopic examination of the scrapings from the lesion and blood tests to confirm the cause and treat you accordingly..
