Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful lump on the throat of a child which could be due to lymph node enlargement or granular pharyngitis. Lymph node enlargement is most commonly due to infection or inflammation. Feeling of pain in throat requires a clinical assessment of the throat. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist/ pediatrician once and get it examined properly. Till then take proper course of antibiotics to subside infection if any and drink plenty of fluids and water to keep yourself hydrated.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
