Suggest Treatment For A Painful Bump On The Shin

Hi. My roommate had a bump on her shin that didn t hurt at first. Now, it hurts and looks like a very big bruise that s really red and giving off heat. Her ankle is swelling and it seems like the bruises are spreading up her leg, and they are now on the other leg. Help!

Hi!! According to your history it seems to be a case of bacterial infection of the soft tissue of your skin. Ask your roommate to elevate her leg and go for hot fermentation of the leg.She will have to take course of oral antibiotic like amoxycillin clavulanic acid combination along with antiinflammatory medicine lto reduce pain and swelling. Also , will have to apply topical antibiotic like mupirocin on the affected areas twice daily. This will surely help her.
