Suggest Treatment For A Painful Bruise On The Thigh

Hello. I have a large bruise on the front and side of my right thigh. It happened just over two weeks ago. I did go see a general practitioner but there is a large lump under the skin that is like a big knot of muscle or something. The bruising is healing and it was a bad accident but the lump is so slow to change. I ve been iceing and heat and stretching. Any suggestions besides massage to loosen up the lump?

Dermatologist 's  Response
hello. the lump you are describing is known as a hematoma. it's a blood clot. our body's lymphatic system clears the hematoma taking its own sweet time. so you can easily leave it alone.
but if u want a faster recovery u can apply heparin sodium cream over the area. you can apply it twice daily till it resolves.it will dissolve the clot faster.
thanks.
